My Review of Forgotten Fire
Despite this book being fictional, it indicates a deep, intimate knowledge of the Armenian genocide through its attention to detail and Armenian cultural values. I found it easy to forget that this wasn't an actual diary. The fear was nearly tangible and the emotions were very real. It was not overly difficult to read, the chapters were short, the words are simple yet effective with some juicy ones in there. This book would work well in a freshman/sophomore English class. This book provides excellent insight into an event the world seemed to forget. 8.5/10
